The AMIkids Y.E.S. program was featured in an in-depth story by the Pulitzer-Prize winning Tampa Bay Times. Written by Shaker Shamman, the article highlights the mission of AMIkids and the work done by our programs throughout the country.

The article, "Young offenders prepare for future by rewinding childhood", includes quotes from a number of people within the AMIkids organization and stories of some of our kids.

The article states:
 
"There are no high fences surrounding the campus, 30 minutes south of downtown Tampa. The 30 or so residents who live here at any given time aren't bound by barbed wire. The center is "staff secure," replacing guard towers with caring mentors, and chains with trust.
