FORT WALTON BEACH, FL – AMIkids Emerald Coast announces that Audra Ray will serve as the new Executive Director at the day treatment facility, located in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Ray will lead AMIkids Emerald Coast's efforts in empowering our kids to reach their potential and separate their troubled past from a bright future.
"My passion is helping kids, and AMIkids is one of the best at doing just that," said Audra Ray. "It is an honor to have the opportunity to lead AMIkids Emerald Coast and to help our kids overcome their issues and positively impact our community."
Ray had previously served with several AMIkids programs for eight years, four years of which as an Executive Director, before spending the last ten years as Program Director at Boys Hope Girls Hope of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Ray received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology in 1993 and Master of Arts in General Counseling in 1995 from Louisiana Tech University. She also was part of Leadership Baton Rouge Class of 2008.
In addition to her duties as Executive Director, Ray will also work closely with the AMIkids Emerald Coast's Board of Trustees to grow its impact on the surrounding community.
