AMIkids has allowed me to couple my love of Mathematics, education and service learning in ways that challenges me daily to grow to be a better example to the students we service, provide exceptional educational services to our students and grow to be a positive agent of change to at risk youth.
AMIkids has a highly-successful track record of helping at-risk kids turn their lives around. Now we are adding industry- certified vocational training and job placement to an already proven strategy. Here are a few of our recently-hired young people.

The first construction project at AMIkids Miami-Dade North is complete!! Supported by the Fisher Island Philanthropic Fund and Spearheaded by our Construction Instructor Mr. Dave, several students in the Construction class worked on the ramp demolition and rebuilding project at the North Campus.
On Wednesday July 1st, AMIkids Miami-Dade (North) participated in the Annual Service from the Heart-Hearts for Seniors event and partnered with Grey Stone Unity Health and Rehabilitation Center of North Miami and spent a day with their residents.
The United Way of Miami Dade County has selected AMIkids Miami-Dade student Youri to be a spokesperson for the United Way. The United Way will be filming a documentary on Youri's life, highlighting how AMIkids Miami-Dade has positively impacted and aided Youri in separating a troubled past to a bright future.
AMIkids Miami-Dade recently partnered with the Department of Highway Transportation and Safety Mobile Unit to provide seven of our students with photo identification and voter registration cards.
Wells Fargo Bank recently nominated AMIkids Miami-Dade to receive a $1,000 donation to benefit our students and support our vocational education and job placement efforts for our kids.
Lyndy Lambert, AMIkids Miami-Dade Board President, volunteered with members from her firm, Holland & Knight, to conduct a community service day project at the North campus this past Saturday. 8 team members from Holland & Knight, 10 AMI students and 5 AMI staff participated in the community service gardening project.
On March 3rd, 2015, 6 youth from AMIkids Miami-Dade North had an opportunity to volunteer at Miami Rescue Mission. The youth had the opportunity to serve in the kitchen as well and sorting item out inventory for the kitchen and interacting with residents.
On February 28, 2015, six youth from AMIKids Miami-Dade (North) had an opportunity to volunteer for Circuit 11’s Community Service Project at Miami Day Treatment (DJJ). The youth had the opportunity to clean up the area, cut down the trees and bushes, and beautified the area.
AMIkids Miami-Dade announces that both of its programs, located in North Miami Beach and Miami, have been awarded funding to develop vocational training and job placement programs provided by the grant awarded by the U.S. Department of Labor to AMIkids earlier this year. The training will provide AMIkids Miami-Dade students the certifications and tools they need to be job-ready when they complete the program, qualifying them for immediate employment.
