Mr. Leon's Broadway credits include the 2014 revival of A Raisin in the Sun starring Denzel Washington (Tony Award Winner for Best Direction of a Play and Best Revival), The Mountaintop starring Samuel L. Jackson and Angela Bassett, Stick Fly produced by Alicia Keys, August Wilson's Fences (which garnered ten Tony nominations and won three Tony Awards including Best Revival), the 2004 revival of A Raisin in the Sun with Sean P. Diddy Combs, Gem of the Ocean, Radio Golf and the 2014 premiere of Holler if You Hear Me, a new musical created using the music of Tupac Shakur.

Kenny recently toured the AMIkids Y.E.S. program. He also spoke to the students in a group setting, and one-on-one. Kenny shared his life story with the students, and motivated them to work hard on their goals and aspirations, and to never give up. Kenny emphasized that to be successful in life, one must work very hard because success does not just happen on its own. Kenny also stressed the importance of believing in oneself.  He gave many examples of celebrities who came from impoverished neighborhoods, believed in themselves, worked hard and achieved success and fame.

Kenny made a positive impact on our students that day and created a memory that is sure to remain with them in the years to come.
