Gov. Jay Nixon today announced that $1 million will be available for the nationally recognized non-profit organization, AMIkids, Inc., to implement a pilot program in St. Louis assisting at-risk youth access education, counseling and employment opportunities.

This grant is the second awarded to AMIkids by the U.S. Department of Labor to provide vocational education and job placement to kids to support a brighter future.

AMIkids also received a $10,000 donation from SunTrust as the overall award winner.
