AMIkids Panama City Marine Institute Carpentry Program Helps Girl Scouts

Mar 20, 2015

The young men in the carpentry class just completed the annual Girl Scout cookie sales tracker sign that they will put out in front of their offices on 390. The sign is extra big so the motorists will be able to watch the Girl Scouts reach their sales goal!

The students in the carpentry program study for their high school diplomas as well as an NCCER (National Center for Construction Education and Research) industry recognized certification.

The training program is a partnership between AMIkids Panama City Marine Institute, Bay District Schools, NCCER, The Florida Masonry Apprenticeship and Education Foundation, AMIkids Inc, Reliant South Construction, Habitat for Humanity and the St. Joe Community Foundation. Wow, that’s a lot of partners! Next the boys will be building garden sheds for Habitat for Humanity.
