AMIkids Inc. Welcomes Jerry Q. Prejean, National Board Chair
Prejean will serve a two-year term on the volunteer national board
AMIkids Inc. is proud to welcome Jerry Q. Prejean as the new National Board Chair for the organization.
“Our National Board provides invaluable oversight and guidance to our organization, helping to strengthen our mission of serving at-risk youth,” said from Michael Thornton, CEO & President, AMIkids. “Mr. Prejean has a great history with our organization, and is a well-respected member of his community for his professional and personal accomplishments. His leadership will be a great asset to our mission over the next two years.”
Prejean is Senior Vice President and Private Client Group Manager for IBERIABANK in Lafayette, Louisiana. He has over 25 years in the banking industry and in the Private Banking segment servicing high net worth individuals. Within the Private Banking segment, Prejean has worked extensively within the healthcare industry where his group has worked with physicians on getting their practices started to opening their own imaging centers, surgery centers and boutique hospitals. His group also works directly with Iberia Wealth Advisors in the areas of investments, trusts and estate planning for our mutual clients.

Prejean is very active in the community where he has served as an Executive Committee member and Chair of Budget and Finance Committee for AMI Kids, Inc., as well as past Chairman and current board member of AMI Kids, Acadiana, Inc. He is also a current board member for Lafayette Central Park, LLC. Prejean served as Past Board President of Boys & Girls Club of Acadiana and Louisiana Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs, Inc., and as Past Chairman of the Lafayette Economic Development Authority and United Way of Acadiana. He also served as a member of 100 Black Men of Greater Lafayette, Inc., a board member of Ragin Cajuns Athletic Foundation, and is a graduate of Leadership Louisiana, a program sponsored by the Council for a Better Louisiana.
Prejean received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 1992. He also has a FINRA Series 6 securities license. He is a native of Lafayette where he currently resides with his wife, Kay. They have two adult children.
