Playing a key role in the transformation of the Virginia Department of Juvenile Justice’s transformation initiative, AMIkids Virginia coordinates a continuum of community-based services to youth in the Eastern, Southern and Western regions of the Commonwealth.
Youth who are referred for services include court-involved youth and their families involved at various stages of the Juvenile Justice system. These youth, including males and females ages 13-20, may be committed to DJJ’s custody or may be on DJJ community supervision (probation or parole). AMIkids Virginia ensures that youth and families have access to a wide array of services, delivered in close geographical proximity to where the youth and families reside.
