The 2002 72’ Southern Ocean Trawler was a donation facilitated by Leonce Richard from Worth Avenue Yachts and Roger Herd from AMIkids Inc. Nikita is currently docked at Maximo Marina in St. Petersburg, Florida and material improvements are underway. The main item in the process will be a complete overhaul of the 2002 L6140 600 HP Lugger Diesel engine.
Once material improvements are completed this aluminum custom trawler designed by C.W. Payne Yacht Design will be available for lease to qualified individuals with an interest-free lease.
AMIkids Yacht donation program works with donors and yacht brokers to facilitate charitable contribution of yachts. The charity then executes considerable material improvements and leases the vessel interest-free. All the proceeds are used to provide at-risk youth with a second chance in life.
For over 40 years, the Yacht Donation Program has received close to 6000 vessel contributions, is one of the leading boat donation programs in the continental US and has a pristine reputation.
