Our Story

EMPOWERING YOUNG PEOPLE TO DISCOVER THEIR TRUE POTENTIAL

AMIkids Multi Service Home – Albuquerque is a nurturing, temporary placement facility dedicated to supporting male youth ages 12-17 in New Mexico. Our 12-bed home offers a safe and welcoming environment for young men who are currently in the care of Children, Youth, and Families Department (CYFD). We are committed to creating a home-like atmosphere where youth can feel secure and valued, with access to amenities like computers, books, games, and televisions, and we encourage the youth to personalize their spaces, fostering a sense of ownership and comfort. Additionally, we provide evidence-based treatment, individualized education and workforce development, and behavior and skills training.

At AMIkids Multi Service Home – Albuquerque, our mission is to empower young people to feel safe, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential. Our compassionate staff is dedicated to providing exceptional care and guiding each youth towards achieving their personal goals.

Services

What We Offer

AMIkids Multi Service Home provides a comprehensive range of services designed to meet the unique needs of each young person. Our programs focus on:

  • Evidence-Based Treatment: We utilize proven therapeutic approaches to address behavioral, emotional, and mental health challenges.
  • Individualized Education and Workforce Development: Our programs help youth develop essential academic and vocational skills, preparing them for future success.
  • Behavior and Skills Training: We teach youth positive coping strategies, conflict resolution skills, and other essential life skills.

Specific services include:

  • Personal goals: Setting and achieving individualized goals
  • Lifeskills: Developing essential life skills such as budgeting, time management, and problem-solving
  • Mental health and substance abuse services: Addressing mental health and substance abuse issues
  • Educational services or GED: Obtaining a high school diploma or GED
  • Career development and workforce development: Preparing youth for the workforce
  • Case management and case planning: Providing individualized support and guidance
