EMPOWERING YOUNG PEOPLE TO DISCOVER THEIR TRUE POTENTIAL

At AMIkids North Carolina Family Services, we are more than just a counseling program. We are a force for change, dedicated to strengthening families and communities across North Carolina. With offices in Durham, Greenville, Morganton, Wilmington, and Winston-Salem, we are bringing our evidence-based Functional Family Therapy to those who need it most. By addressing family dynamics and empowering young people and their families, we are breaking down barriers and creating a vibrant future for all.

Services

What We Offer

COMMUNITY-BASED PROGRAMS

Community-based programs offer daily services to youth and families, with youth returning home each day if programming takes place outside of the home. We offer eight unique services with our community-based programs.

Family Services

Family Services provide home-based skills-building and/or family counseling and intervention using evidence-based practices. Family services may include program models such as Functional Family Therapy and the AMIkids Family Centric Model™. Family Services programs last approximately two to six months.

PROGRAM ENHANCEMENTS

Program Enhancement Services may be provided as standalone or supplementary to a program.

Functional Family Therapy (FFT)

These services are provided in-home with youth and their family, for an average of 12-16 sessions over three to six months and is a strengths-based and research-driven model that reduces risk factors and increases protective factors for youth and families.
