Career and Technical Education: Workforce Development Program
AMIkids Pensacola Workforce Development program is a community-based pre-apprenticeship program that provides job training and educational services for young people ages 16-24 who have left school (dropped out) without a diploma. Our program provides a supportive environment for young people to earn their GED (high school diploma), gain valuable job skills, and prepare for a rewarding career.
Here’s what they’ll gain:
Vocational Training: Choose from in-demand fields like construction and healthcare.
GED Preparation: Earn a high school equivalency diploma and unlock further education opportunities.
Job Readiness Skills: Learn how to find and keep a job with interview skills, resume writing, and more.
Supportive Services: Get help with mentoring, counseling, transportation, and even food insecurity through our community partners.
Stipends: Earn money for attending the program and completing milestones.
There’s no cost to enroll, and the program pays for all vocational and GED expenses.
The program lasts 8 months, with 12 months of follow-up and job placement services.
