In September 2024, the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice entrusted AMIkids with operating a residential program in Bartow. At AMIkids Polk, we provide a safe and supportive home-like environment for up to 24 young men ages 10 to 16. Our focus is on fostering positive relationships, providing comprehensive case management, and offering a range of therapeutic services designed to equip these young men with the skills and tools they need to thrive.
Our Approach:
Relationship Building: We believe strong, positive relationships are the foundation for growth and change.
Case Management: Each young man receives individualized attention and support to address their unique needs and challenges.
Behavior and Skills Training: We provide structured programs to help develop positive behaviors and essential life skills.
Life Skills & Recreation: We offer opportunities to learn practical life skills and engage in healthy recreational activities.
Experiential Education & Career Preparation: Our programs encourage personal growth, exploration, and planning for future success.
Transition Services: We work closely with each young man to ensure a smooth and successful transition back to their community.
Our dedicated team members are committed to helping each young man set and achieve personalized goals that prepare them for a bright future, both during their time with us and when they return home.
We believe in every young person’s potential and are dedicated to helping them realize their full potential.
