Maria joined AMIkids in March of 2017 as Chief Financial Officer. As an experienced leader in financial management and business leadership Maria has been successful in turning around underperforming business units while building strong and cohesive teams. She is an operations focused CFO who seeks to understand the operations that drive the numbers. She continually seeks ways to improve efficiencies and eliminate duplication of work. Additionally, Maria has a background of serving on a Board of Directors and on Audit Committees, giving her a true understanding of the value of collaboration. She joined us from a local Tampa non-profit where she collaborated very well with the Development team in identifying funding needs that supported the mission of the agency.
Maria is a CPA and a Chartered Accountant in South Africa. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of South Africa in Accounting, and also holds a master’s degree in Accounting from the University of Phoenix.
