Exceeding organizational goals and objectives has been the hallmark of Sara’s career. Sara quickly established her ability to motivate and inspire others to excel and to help organizations reach new heights, all of which helped her advance quickly into senior leadership roles. Sara currently serves as the Vice President of Resource Development for AMIkids. Her natural ability to forge strong relationships with internal and external partners while aligning their goals with those of AMIkids, compliments her deep understanding of financial stewardship.

Prior to joining AMIkids, Sara led the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Foundation and was Assistant Vice President of Development.  In addition to helping lead the Foundation, she was personally responsible for a fundraising portfolio totaling $20 million annually and helped secure the largest single gift in the history of the organization when Citadel founder Kenneth Griffin donated $25M to the hospital’s new surgical tower.

At the American Heart Association, Sara developed a passion for nonprofit leadership and philanthropy after seeing firsthand how those funds could make a difference in someone’s life by promoting health and healing. During her time in her executive leadership role at American Heart Association, Sara continued to exceed her event and fundraising revenue goals and held benchmarks for the most fiscal year revenue, total individual giving overall, and most six-figure gifts.

Sara’s career began in the for-profit sector, where she honed her skills and business acumen.  While serving as a Sales Manager and General Manager at several world renowned organizations including Marriott Hotels and Hilton, Sara achieved significant results in record time, resulting in financial success.

While not working, Sara spends her time with her husband and two young boys in St Petersburg, Fl. They enjoy riding on the golf cart, attending Rays games and restoring their 100 year old house.
