Our Story

EMPOWERING YOUNG PEOPLE TO DISCOVER THEIR TRUE POTENTIAL

AMIkids Gadsden empowers youth ages 11–17 in a safe, supportive, and engaging environment where they can learn, grow, and prepare for success. Our after-school and summer programs provide hands-on learning, workforce readiness, and personal growth experiences that help young people build confidence, develop practical skills, and discover their strengths.

By promoting positive choices, personal responsibility, and a sense of belonging, AMIkids Gadsden empowers youth to overcome challenges and become leaders in their schools, families, and community. Explore our program today and see how we can help your youth rise and thrive.

Services

What We Offer

COMMUNITY-BASED PROGRAMS

Community-based programs offer daily services to youth and families, with youth returning home each day if programming takes place outside of the home. We offer eight unique services with our community-based programs.

AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAMS

After-school programs offer a variety of activities such as tutoring, career readiness, and technical training to students during after-school hours. AMIkids After School programs provide students with comprehensive programming and support services to engage youth in positive opportunities that prepare them for success.

PROGRAM ENHANCEMENTS

Program Enhancement Services may be provided as standalone or supplementary to a program.

Career and Technical Education

Provided in two age-appropriate models:

  • The AMIkids Career Exploration Model helps youth build self-awareness, learn about potential careers, and develop a plan for reaching future goals.
  • The AMIkids Workforce Development Model utilizes a combination of school-based and work-based learning to help youth learn job readiness skills, earn industry-recognized certifications, and transition to the workforce.

AMIkids Family Centric Model™ (FCM)

These services include research-informed skills training for families, provided in the home or community setting weekly. Services are designed to reduce anti-social behaviors of youth, improve the psychosocial functioning of youth, and improve family functioning.
