Our Story

EMPOWERING YOUNG PEOPLE TO DISCOVER THEIR TRUE POTENTIAL

Founded in 1988, AMIkids Space Coast is a residential group home program for young men ages 12-17. Located in Melbourne, Florida, the program operates 24/7, providing care, guidance, and a sense of family.

Through our evidence-based programs and comprehensive services, we equip these young men with the tools they need to overcome challenges by focusing on education, behavior and skills training, and treatment. We work together with our youth to support their goals and dreams and create stronger communities.

Youth at AMIkids Space Coast are referred by community-based care agencies under contract with the Florida Department of Children and Families.

Services

What We Offer

RESIDENTIAL PROGRAMS

Residential programs operate 24 hours per day, seven days per week, with youth residing on campus. Staff implement trauma-informed programming to help youth develop skills for successfully transitioning to community settings and/or the home environment.

Child Welfare Group Care
Child Welfare Group Care programs provide a 24-hour group living setting for youth requiring a structured out-of-home care placement.

PROGRAM ENHANCEMENTS

Brevard Engagement Academy
The Brevard Engagement Academy is an 8-week Saturday program offering two-hour sessions focused on:

  • Behavior redirection through positive reinforcement and structure
  • Goal setting and personal development
  • Career exploration and future planning
  • Self-regulation and coping skills for real-life situations

Each session is designed to foster connection, build confidence, and support youth in making positive, lasting progress—in school, at home, and in the community.
